This prescribing assessment has been introduced to help ensure that new doctors are able to undertake paediatric prescribing safely.
You are allowed 3 attempts to achieve 100%
If you do not pass within 3 attempts, you will not be given prescribing access to Alder Hey's electronic prescribing system until your educational supervisor is happy to authorise this.
The assessment requires you to use the BNFC or Alder Hey guidelines to select the correct dose and appropriate frequency for the child described in the scenario. Please access the BNFC online. Where required, the relevant section of Alder Hey guidelines are embedded within the assessment.
